Mother of the bride style

Don’t leave thinking about the mother of the bride style until the last minute, make them feel an important part of your big day with these top tips…

Ruffles, bows and corsages are very fashionable this season and can be a great way to create a focal point for an outfit.
If you decide to wear a hat then make sure you try on lots of different shapes, to ensure that you choose a mother of the bride style that really flatters your face.
If you don’t want to wear a hat, fascinators are easy to wear, come in a great selection of styles and colours and, most importantly, you won’t end up with hat hair when you take it off!
Choose your shoes carefully and stick with low to midheight heels, unless you are used to wearing high heels.
Designers such as Yarwood-White are perfect for creating classic jewellery in gold, silver or pearls, and they also do a gorgeous ‘Vine’ range that comes in a selection of wonderful colours.
Work out exactly what you will be carrying on the day. This will have an influence on the size of the bag that you need.
Invest in a pair of Spanx undies. They are fabulous for hiding lumps and bumps, and creating a sleeker figure for your mother of the bride style.
While it’s important that you don’t clash with the bridesmaids, a complementary or toning colour can look nicer than wearing the same shade.
If you’re going to be wearing a floral bouquet but are concerned that it may get lost in your outfit, why not ask the florist to make a wrist corsage for you to wear instead?

This wedding was anything but low-key. Following a relaxed ceremony for friends and family in the beautiful Lulworth Castle Courtyard, the wedding party went large with a full-scale parade led by the Jaipur Marching Band!

“We had planned our own festival theme but being at an actual festival was much more impressive,” said real bride Amanda who lives in Devon. “Being centre stage in the summer sunshine in front of all those smiling happy faces, it was an experience neither of us could ever forget.”
Camp Bestival, held in the grounds of Lulworth Castle in Dorset is aimed at families with small children, and is the little sister of Bestival, in the Isle of Wight. As well as Lulworth Castle, the Lulworth Castle Courtyard is also licensed for civil ceremonies and suitable for gatherings of up to 80 guests.
